TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE WEBSITE AND SOCIAL MEDIA

I. INTRODUCTION

  1. These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of electronic services on the website www.milcu.eu.
  2. The Service Provider provides Services on the Website in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  3. Each User is required to read these Terms and Conditions before using the Services and to comply with their provisions.
  4. These Terms and Conditions also contain information regarding the processing of personal data and the use of Cookies or similar technologies. The information contained herein relates to the Services provided on the Website.

II. DEFINITIONS

  1. For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the following definitions apply:

    • Website Cookie Policy – the Cookie Policy of the website www.milcu.eu available in the Website footer.
    • Website Privacy Policy – the Privacy Policy of milcu.eu available in the Website footer.
    • Social Media – the Service Provider’s fan page on LinkedIn (www.linkedin.com), the Service Provider’s channel on YouTube (www.youtube.com), and other social media fan pages operated by the Service Provider and linked within the Website.
    • Website – the website together with all content and Services provided at www.milcu.eu and on all its subpages.
    • Service / Services – electronic services provided by the Service Provider through the Website as described in these Terms and Conditions.
    • Service Provider – Dairy Biotechnologies Spółka z ograniczoną odpowiedzialnością with its registered office in Puławy, ul. Ignacego Mościckiego 1, 24-100 Puławy, entered in the National Court Register under KRS number 0000993958, NIP 7162837602.
    • User – any person who accesses the Website, browses it, reads the information contained on it, or uses other Services provided through the Website.

III. COMMENCEMENT AND TERMINATION OF USE OF THE WEBSITE

  1. The Website provides Services consisting of delivering various types of content and other Services.
  2. By opening any page or subpage of the Website within the www.milcu.eu domain, the User begins using the Services in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
  3. During the first visit to the Website, a notice regarding the use of Cookies will be displayed. The User must read this notice in order to start using the Website.
  4. The Website footer contains links to Website documents, in particular the Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and the Cookie Policy. The User has unrestricted access to these documents at any time and from any location within the Website and may freely copy their contents.
  5. To stop using the Website, the User should close all browser tabs used to access the Website.
  6. Further sections of these Terms and Conditions contain detailed information regarding specific Services and the conclusion and termination of agreements for their provision.

IV. SERVICES AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. The following Services are available on the Website:
    • Provision of content, articles, videos, and scientific publications of the project team.
    • Contact form.
    • The “Our Projects” section and client testimonials.
    • Plugins linking to the Service Provider’s Social Media.
  2. Services are available in two language versions: Polish and English.
  3. The Services are available on any device that meets the following conditions, such as a computer, laptop, smartphone, tablet, smartwatch, smart TV, or other compatible electronic devices.
  4. To use the Website, the following technical requirements must be met:
    • access to a device capable of browsing websites;
    • an up-to-date web browser (e.g., Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Opera, Microsoft Edge) supporting HTTPS connections and functional Cookies;
    • an active internet connection enabling two-way communication.
  5. To access certain content available on the Website, the following may also be required:
    • a Java script environment;
    • the ability to use Adobe services;
    • acceptance of additional Cookies (e.g., for displaying content from YouTube).
  6. Some Services may require additional conditions. Relevant information is provided in the sections relating to particular Services.

The Service Provider does not require the use of a specific browser, operating system, or Cookies to use particular Services. V. CONTENT, ARTICLES, AND VIDEO SERVICES ON THE WEBSITE

  1. The main purpose of the Website is to publish content concerning:
    • the current activities and history of the Service Provider;
    • the Service Provider’s technologies;
    • ongoing projects of the Service Provider;
    • cooperation with the Service Provider;
    • projects implemented with the support of the National Centre for Research and Development and other research or scientific projects, including those financed through partnerships or cooperation with other entities, in accordance with project rules and general promotion principles, particularly those financed from European Funds;
    • the Service Provider’s team, scientists, and their research;
    • industry news and updates;
    • biographies of the Service Provider’s management.
  2. Content provided on the Website may include:
    • written content published on the Website;
    • scientific articles published on the Website;
    • links to scientific articles by the Service Provider’s scientists or other authors published on external websites. Using such links redirects the User to another service provider’s website directly to the article. The Service Provider exercises due diligence to ensure that such links lead to reliable sources but is not responsible for the actions of third-party websites, including the functioning of links or changes in content under those links;
    • video materials, vlogs, and films displayed on the Website. Video content is published on the Service Provider’s YouTube channel and embedded on the Website. Displaying such content may require the use of Cookies from YouTube, which are beyond the Service Provider’s control.
  3. The Website may also contain information about job openings or cooperation opportunities. Applications are not submitted through the Website; each announcement specifies the appropriate application procedure.

VI. CONTACT FORM

  1. The contact form allows Users to send text messages to the Service Provider directly from the Website.
  2. To use the contact form, the User must have a valid email address to which the response will be sent.

VII. SOCIAL MEDIA

  1. The Service Provider provides Services through selected Social Media platforms:
    • LinkedIn fan page
    • YouTube channel
  2. Services in Social Media include:
    • building a network of contacts;
    • providing content similar to the content available on the Website;
    • posting and responding to comments;
    • communication via messaging tools available on Social Media platforms;
    • providing Social Media plugins on the Website.
  3. The Service Provider is responsible only for the Services listed above and provides them in accordance with the rules of the respective Social Media platforms.
  4. Team members and scientists may also maintain personal accounts on these platforms. Such accounts are private and not official profiles of the Service Provider. The Service Provider is not responsible for such personal accounts.

VIII. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS AND PERSONAL RIGHTS

  1. All content available on the Website or the Service Provider’s Social Media is protected by intellectual property rights belonging to the Service Provider or third parties whose content is used with permission.
  2. All photographs and materials containing images of individuals are protected under copyright law and the Civil Code.
  3. Personal data published on the Website and Social Media is protected in accordance with applicable laws, including the GDPR.
  4. It is prohibited to copy, reproduce, distribute, transmit, or otherwise use any content, materials, graphics, or trademarks from the Website without prior written consent of the Service Provider.

IX. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF USERS

  4. Users are obliged to:
    • comply with these Terms and Conditions;
    • use the Website in accordance with its intended purpose;
    • refrain from actions that could disrupt the operation or integrity of the Website;
    • refrain from attempts to bypass Website or Social Media security;
    • refrain from actions that could infringe intellectual property rights;
    • refrain from publishing commercial advertisements;
    • refrain from violating the personal rights of other users;
    • refrain from posting offensive, illegal, discriminatory, terrorist, racist, or pornographic content.
  5. Users must immediately inform the Service Provider of any disruption in the Website’s operation or any violations of these Terms by other Users.

X. RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE SERVICE PROVIDER

  1. The Service Provider makes reasonable efforts to ensure proper functioning of the Website and provision of Services.
  2. The Service Provider may take necessary actions to ensure security, proper functioning, and compliance with these Terms and Conditions.

XI. COMPLAINTS AND REPORTS

  2. Complaints are reviewed within 14 days of receiving all required information.

  6. There is no appeal procedure against the decision regarding a complaint.

XII. FINAL PROVISIONS

    • technical changes improving security or operation of the Website;
    • significant changes in Services (e.g., introduction of new Services);
    • legal requirements.
  3. Users will be informed of changes at least 14 days in advance via information published on the Website.
  4. Users may resign from using the Services due to changes to the Terms and Conditions by submitting a statement within 14 days:
